And a tree Bloomed

I am so excited to be done with this project.  This was a really fun stitch and I really enjoyed it.  The entire tree is done in specialty stitches and was a freebie from the yahoo group- The Stitch Specialists.  Its a great group of people who are very chatty and the designer/owner of the group does amazing freebie SALs.

Project is stitched on a 28 ct linen called Winter Winds using Caron Waterlilies 088- Mountain Meadow for the tree, Needle Necessities 128- Serengeti for the trunk and Carrie's Creation- Sage for the Rabbit and Owl.  Beads are Mill Hill- 3037

These are the stitches used in the tree.

1. Cross Stitch for tree trunk
2. Smryna Stitch or Double Cross Stitch
3. French Knots
4. Eyelets
5. Rice Stitch
6. Cushion Stitch
7. Jerusalem Stitch
8. Floral Stitch
9. Norwich Stitch
10. Star Stitch
11. Rhodes Square
12. Fancy Cross
13. Tied Windmill Stitch
14. Leaf Stitch
15. Owl, Rabbit and flowers combinations of stitches
