First Day of Summer

OK, so the New Moon came and went without me taking a picture of my TUSAL jar. I swear time is speeding up because the year is 1/2 over and I have no idea where has gone. With today being the first official day of Summer I decided to post pictures of some ornaments that I finished. I am happy to say that I am now caught up on at least one of my SALs. Last night I finished stitching the May jar from the SanMan series. I still need to make it into the ornament but at least it is stitched.

At the top is the finished ornament from the Stitching Parlor- Mini Celebrations and the bottom row are from the OakHaven 2009 SAL June and July parts.

These are all SanMan originals.  June and July jars and the June 2010 Calendar freebie.

I hope to get caught up more on my SAL's during the month of July.  So far it is working good with flip flopping projects.  I stitch a project for June or July and then I go back and stitch one thats left from May.  We will see if I can keep this progress up.  Wish me luck, LOL.

New Finishes- Finally

After bairly stitching during my vacation it finally feels good to have a few new finishes.  The first one is a pattern from Simply Old Fashion.  I changed the colors from what was listed because I could not see spending the $5.00 for each skien for the silk floss it suggested.  Its such a small project.  I used Crescent Colors - Fool's Gold and Gentle Arts - Autumn Leaves.   I really like how this turned out, now I just need to find a frame for it so I can give it to a friend as a thank you for watching some of my pets while I was gone.

The next one is a the June part of the Mini Celebrations set from The Stitching Parlor.  Its stitched using DMC colors or Bone colored linen.  I will finish it into an ornament at a later time.

I have fallen behind on all of my monthly stitching projects due to my vacation so I may just skip some of them and go onto the July stuff and go back to them at a later date.

Late TUSAL Update

Wow has it really been a month since I last posted.  I was on vacation for 18 days so I am now playing catch up on everything.  I didn't really get anything stitched while I was gone but I did manage to take my jar with me and find some pretty flowers in the forest to put it next too.  Not sure what the flowers are but they were in the parking lot for a hiking trail about an hour outside of Seattle, Washington.
