Easter Decor

Hard to believe that Easter is only a week away. I finally managed to get some ornaments to go on my purple tree for Easter. Top row- April from the 2009 Oakhaven SAL, Carrot word scramble from SanMan Originals, Easter Paw pring from the Stitchy Kitty. Bottom row- Rabbit on wheels by Jean Farrish, Bunny word Scramble from SanMan Originals and Spring Paw Print from the Stitchy Kitty.

Here is what my tree looks like with all the ornaments on it.  I hope to finish a few more to add to it.

We see you, Day 4.

They finally look like ducks.  I couldn't resist backstitching the eyes to make them come to life, that and they looked like little zombies without it and it was bugging me, LOL.  Marshal saw them and asked were their beaks were so thats what I am working on tonight as well as starting on the grass around them.  They are looking so cute!!!!

March Decorations

Since it is now March its time to post my decorations.  It seems weird to not have a bright colored tree to decortate, I did manage to find a nice brass swirly tree for a great price.  It has places for 9 ornaments and possibly 15 it I put them close to the center.  It also come apart in 3 places so you can make it smaller if you want.  I plan to use this when I do not have a bright tree for the holidays.

The tree came with a star on top of it but the star comes off and I thought it would be fun to put the Shamrock on top of it.  The tree has ornaments from SanMan Originals, Rainbow Gallery, Oakhaven, Stitchy Kitty and Mosey and Me.

This one its from The Stitchy Kitty.

This is from a series from Susan Gastler.  There is one for every month and there is also teapcups to go with them but I havn't started them yet.

The start of a new project

So far this year I have managed to stitch mainly ornaments and small projects so I decided it was time to start a larger project.  This one is called What an Ugly Duckling and it is a kits from Dimensions.  The kit came with 18 count Ivory Aida cloth but I decided to change it to 16 count Ivory linen.

This is what I have managed to get stitched in roughly the first 24 hours of starting it. Can you tell what it is yet??   Is this 1 duck or two and where does the eye go??   I hope to post updates every few days.
